Overview

Dark Green Lawn "DGL" 25-0-0 is a professional-grade lawn fertilizer with extremely fine particle size for double the coverage and even distribution. This formula contains all quick-release nitrogen for immediate feeding. Slow release fertilizers release slowly over time and are great for long term greening and maintenance, however, there do come times when an extra boost of nitrogen is either needed or desired. DGL will provide a boost of both growth and dark greening. DGL can be used in conjunction to any lawn fertilizer program at a light rate. Safe for use on all turf types, DGL can be used any time during the growing season. For best results, reapply every 4-6 weeks.

*Important*
- Water in thoroughly - especially for tight, dense turf.
- Follow application instructions closely. Only apply with a properly calibrated broadcast spreader. This product contains high nitrogen that is all quick release. Over application or improper application method could result in turf burn.

APPLYING DGL 25-0-0

- DGL is safe for all turf types and can be applied in spring, summer, and fall.
- For best results, re-apply every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.
- Apply to dry foliage.
- Sweep or blow off any particles from sidewalks and driveways to prevent staining.
- Water immediately after application with a minimum of 0.2 inches.

This product contains all quick release nitrogen. To avoid burning, calibrate your spreader, follow recommended application rates, do not apply to stressed turf and avoid applying on hot and dry days.

The spreader settings for this product were established using standard equipment available from the spreader manufacturer at swath widths and speeds typically used within the industry. Many variables such as walking speed, terrain, particle size, density, and spreader condition can affect these settings. Spreader settings are intended as a guide and unit calibration should still be performed to ensure proper application rates. They are not intended to replace calibration. The Andersons recommends the use of broadcast spreader for its products.

Nitrogen Power

DGL is the big boost additive that my grass needed. I used it last year and rally needed it this year. My lawn has been starving for nutrient. After applying PGF Complete (the true base line fertilizer) I still needed nitrogen for pushing the lawn's recovery. I have mostly Bermuda with some shade tolerant fescue under trees. Still have a lot to do, but DGL gives the grass a big leap.

Second time using, no noticeable results

So, I decided to try DGL again this year. Last year, I saw no results using this product. I decided to try again 10 days ago since the reviews from others are so good. I figured I must have done something wrong last year. I have an irrigation system on my chisolm zoysia and have also received rain. All I can say is Greenshocker works great to take the yellow out of my yard and green it up as much as chisolm zoysia will green up. DGL has done nothing. I hate I wasted the money trying this product again. I don't know if it just won't work on this species of zoysia or what the problem is. I have had my soil tested twice this year and followed all instructions. I don't know why this product won't work for me. I hate to have to rate this product so low because I normally love The Andersons products.

DGL - Great Results!

Applied DGL two weeks ago and love the results. Second year using DGL after waking up my lawn with 10-10-10 earlier in season. Love the quality of the product. I could see the difference in the first week after application with a nice deep green color. Everyone keeps commenting on my lawn. I use all Andersons product and wouldn’t try anything else!
