Overview

The Andersons Rio Bermuda premium grass seed exhibits excellent cold and frost tolerance as well as early spring green-up. This elite bermudagrass seed germinates quickly, has excellent turf quality and good wear tolerance. Bermuda Rio is dark green, fine bladed and dense. Each seed is coated with Watergard NP® to provide 2X water retention and a nutrient charge to give the seedling a healthy start. To protect from Pythium as well as damping-off and poor seed germination under cool and wet environmental conditions, The Andersons Rio Bermuda seed is treated with Apron XL® fungicide. Plant 2 to 3 lbs of seed per 1,000 sq ft.

SEEDING WITH RIO BERMUDA GRASS SEED

ESTABLISHMENT
1. Plant in full sunlight when soil temps are consistently 65°F and on the rise
2. Plant 2 to 3 lbs of seed per 1,000 sq ft
3. Cover with no more than ¼ inch of soil
4. Maintain soil moisture around seed using frequent but light irrigation
5. As seedings develop, decrease frequency of irrigation but increase amount of water applied

MOWING MAINTENANCE
• Maintain at mowing heights from 0.4 inches to 1 inch
• Do not remove over 1/3 of the leaf blade per mowing
• More frequent mowing at shorter heights will results in a finer, more dense turf
