You purchased a product from The Andersons, look on the product's label to see what setting to set your spreader on and your spreader model is not listed! We know this can be frustrating. Due to limited space on our product labels and with so many different models of spreaders on the market it would be impossible to list every spreader setting on each product label. For your convenience, we have created spreader setting charts for every product we have available on AndersonsHomeandGarden.com. Each product-specific spreader settings chart is listed under the drop-down menu titled "Spreader Settings" within each product page.
We recommend checking in this location first before moving on to read the rest of this article.

If you also do not see the settings for your spreader model in this location, the Spreader Settings Conversion Chart is below to help. (Click on the chart to view as a zoomable PDF)

What you will need in order to use this chart: The recommended spreader setting for the application rate you desire for a spreader model that is listed on the product you have.

Example: If you have an Agri-Fab Rotary spreader but the settings for this spreader model is not listed on the product's label, note the setting for a spreader model that is listed on the label, such as an Earthway Rotary spreader setting. If the given Earthway Rotary setting is a 12, find setting 12 on the chart below under the "Earthway Rotary" column, then look across in the same row for the equivalent spreader setting for your spreader model. In this instance, the Agri-Fab Rotary setting equivalent to setting 12 on a Earthway Rotary spreader is 3 1/2.

If on the conversion chart it shows "--" for your spreader, you will need to go to the next closest setting or in between settings if you spreader allows.

Example: Setting L for a LCO-1000 spreader would be between setting 11 and 12 for a Lesco Rotary spreader with numbers. In this case, you would set your Lesco spreader to setting 11 or 12, or at a 11.5 if you spreader allows.

Additional notes:
- The Yard Star spreader follows "Earthway Rotary" spreader settings.
- Echo
spreaders follow "Scotts Broadcast" spreader settings.
- "Rotary" is another word for "broadcast".

Disclaimer: Spreader settings were established using standard equipment available from the spreader manufacturer at swath widths and speeds typically used within the industry. Many variables such as walking speed, terrain, particle size, density, and spreader condition can affect these settings. Spreader settings are intended as a guide and unit calibration should still be performed to ensure proper application rates. They are not intended to replace calibration. The Andersons recommends the use of broadcast spreader for its products.
