Overview
Grass Genie® 10-0-6 is an OMRI listed, organic spring fertilizer for lawns. This formula is designed to kick start your lawn, bringing it out of winter dormancy.
Grass Genie® can be used on established and newly planted lawns. It is safe for use on all grass types and includes humic acid to ensure nutrient uptake and soil health. Grass Genie® contains quick and slow-release nitrogen sources for an immediate an green-up and continual feeding up to six weeks.
Unlike other organic fertilizers, Grass Genie® does not contain animal ingredients, manure, biosolids or any other waste materials. And, unlike traditional lawn care products, Grass Genie® does not contain synthetic chemicals. Instead it has top- of-the-line, all natural and organic nutrient sources like soybean meal, sodium nitrate, potash, and potassium so your family can get back to enjoying your yard immediately after it has been applied!
What Does OMRI Listed Mean?
The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is a non-profit, third party that reviews and verifies products for organic use. The designation of an OMRI listing means that Grass Genie® has passed the review process and is compliant with organic standards. OMRI listed products are the best organic products available.

APPLYING GRASS GENIE 10-0-6
- Grass Genie 10-0-6 Fertilizer can be applied any time during the growing season but is ideal for spring applications
- Grass Genie can be reapplied every 6-8 weeks during the growing season
- Apply at the rate of 6.4 lbs of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Apply to dry foliage
- Water in after application with a minimum of 0.2 inches
- Do not collect clippings for at least one mowing following application to avoid particle pick-up
- Avoid applying before heavy rainfall as particles risk being washed away
The spreader settings for this product were established using standard equipment available from the spreader manufacturer at swath widths and speeds typically used within the industry. Many variables such as walking speed, terrain, particle size, density, and spreader condition can affect these settings. Spreader settings are intended as a guide and unit calibration should still be performed to ensure proper application rates. They are not intended to replace calibration. The Andersons recommends the use of broadcast spreader for its products.

So-So So Far
Have used for a full year now and I can't say I've seen much of a difference. Hoping the second year will provide more results. Without a preemergent of any kind, clovers and other weeds have really sprung up in the yard and my grass seems thinner.

Thanks for leaving your review! Our subscription plans do not (yet) include a weed prevention or control product. We are, however, working on developing the perfect 100% organic weed control solution, and hope to have in place very soon. The best defense against weeds is a thick and healthy lawn. If you still have weeds, you have a few options. You can pull them up by hand, plan on spot spraying them directly, or you can do nothing. Just remember that if you choose to do nothing, your fertilizer applications will be feeding both your lawn and the weeds. Many of our customers have chosen to use a hybrid program, combining our subscription plan with a weed control product of their choice. We will have a 100% organic weed control product soon.
